Strengthening regional trade and investment took centre stage at the maiden Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum held in Lagos, Nigeria, under the theme “Unlocking Investment Potential through Intra-African Trade and Tourism.”
Led by Ms Margaret Ansei, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), the event brought together key industry players and policymakers from across West Africa to explore innovative pathways for collaboration and economic growth.
As part of the Expo, GEA supported selected participants under the Business in a Box (BizBox) Project — implemented in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation — to showcase their innovative local products and engage potential export partners.
In her keynote address, Ms Ansei emphasised the crucial role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ghana’s economic transformation. She called for deeper cross-border partnerships and ECOWAS value chain development as key strategies for unlocking sustainable regional prosperity.
The forum convened stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing intra-African trade, investment, and tourism.
GEA extends special appreciation to the Ghana Tourism Authority, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and Judi Media Consult for their invaluable support in hosting this impactful event.
Together, we continue to build stronger partnerships and unlock greater opportunities for Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
