Lee became a household name for his fatherly and authoritative roles in numerous hit dramas, earning him the affectionate title “TV Dad.” He starred in iconic series such as High Kick!, Dear My Friends, Hur Jun, and dozens of classic productions that endeared him to viewers across generations.
Beyond acting, he was respected as a mentor, educator, and cultural icon who played a significant role in nurturing young talent and promoting the growth of Korean arts. He also served as a member of the National Assembly from 1992 to 1996, making contributions outside the entertainment field.
