Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy has opened up about why he cannot return to his ex-wife, despite fans’ hopes for a reunion.
Speaking during a recent interview, the Mavin Records CEO explained that while he maintains deep respect and admiration for his former partner, their lifestyles and priorities no longer align in a way that would make a reunion realistic.
Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, revealed that his marriage ended years ago largely because of his unshakable commitment to music. According to him, the same circumstances that caused the breakup still exist today.
“I loved her, and I still do in my own way, but I was too married to music. Nothing has changed — I’m still married to music,” he said.
He added that bringing someone back into his life when he still cannot give them the attention and balance required in a marriage would be unfair.
The producer noted that his ex-wife has moved on, built a new life, and deserves peace without being dragged back into public speculation.
Fans have often urged Don Jazzy to consider reconciling with her after he publicly disclosed their past marriage in 2021. However, he stressed that reconciliation would not work because the core issues that affected their union remain unresolved.
Despite this, Don Jazzy said he is grateful for their shared memories and continues to support her happiness from a distance.
