Dramani Mahama has directed the Ministry of Roads and Highways and relevant agencies to ensure the strict enforcement of axle-weight limits on Ghana’s highways.
He said the move is aimed at protecting the nation’s road infrastructure, reducing maintenance costs, and extending the lifespan of major highways that continue to deteriorate due to the overloading of heavy-duty vehicles.
