‘We’ve Been Communicating’ — Fella Makafui Responds to Drogba’s Claims of Abandonment

Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui has responded to claims by actor John Peasah, popularly known as Drogba, that she had not visited or adequately supported him since he was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

In a response to the concerns raised by her former YOLO co-star, Fella Makafui maintained that she has been in contact with Drogba and rejected suggestions that she had completely abandoned him during his health battle.

According to the actress, communication between the two has been ongoing, contrary to the impression created by Drogba’s recent interview. She explained that while she may not have visited him personally, efforts had been made to reach out and stay connected.

The development follows comments by Drogba, who revealed in an interview that several colleagues in the entertainment industry, including Fella Makafui, had not visited him since he was diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder. He stated that although Fella initially attempted to reach him through another colleague, he had not heard much from her afterwards.

Fella’s response has since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some fans defending her position while others have called for greater support for actors facing health challenges.

Drogba has been battling Stiff Person Syndrome for some time and has repeatedly appealed for prayers and support from the public as he continues treatment and recovery efforts. His condition has drawn sympathy from many Ghanaians, including colleagues within the entertainment industry. The exchange has reignited discussions about the welfare of actors and the need for more robust support systems within Ghana’s creative arts sector.
