The Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) has participated in the Global SME Finance Forum 2025, held in Johannesburg, South Africa, where the Agency highlighted Ghana’s strides in advancing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) development.
Led by Chief Executive Officer Ms. Margaret Ansei, the GEA delegation joined global policymakers, financial institutions, and development partners to explore innovative financing solutions, including AI-driven credit scoring, digital onboarding, and gender-responsive finance models aimed at improving access to credit for small businesses.
Speaking on the sidelines of the forum, Ms. Ansei reaffirmed GEA’s commitment to transforming insights from the event into actionable strategies that will strengthen Ghana’s MSME ecosystem.
According to her, the Agency will pilot digital finance tools, deepen collaborations with fintech partners, and expand targeted programmes that support women and youth entrepreneurs across the country.
She emphasized that innovation, inclusion, and impact remain the Agency’s guiding pillars—driving Ghana’s journey toward economic transformation where every enterprise can thrive.

The Global SME Finance Forum serves as a platform for sharing best practices and fostering partnerships among global stakeholders committed to unlocking financial access for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Through GEA’s participation, Ghana continues to position itself as a leader in MSME innovation and inclusive enterprise development within the African region.
