Ghanaian international and AFC Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed his immense pride and joy in representing Ghana at the international level, describing it as a “dream come true” for himself and his family.
In an interview, Semenyo reflected on his journey to the Black Stars, noting that wearing the Ghana jersey holds deep emotional significance.
“Playing for Ghana is a dream come true — not just for me, but for my entire family,” he said. “It’s something I always hoped for, and every time I step on the pitch, I want to make my country proud.”
Born in England to Ghanaian parents, Semenyo chose to represent Ghana in 2022 and has since become an integral part of the national team setup. His dedication, pace, and attacking prowess have earned him praise from both fans and coaches alike.
The Bournemouth striker added that his decision to play for Ghana was inspired by his family’s heritage and their long-standing connection to the country.
“My parents are proud every time they see me play for Ghana. It’s emotional for all of us because it’s about representing our roots and giving back to the country that means so much to us,” he said.
Semenyo has continued to impress in the English Premier League this season, and his growing influence in the national team has made him one of Ghana’s brightest attacking prospects ahead of future international tournaments.
