Accra Hearts of Oak have officially withdrawn from the 2026 GHALCA Top-Four Tournament, citing a clash between the competition’s schedule and the club’s existing programmes.
The Phobians had initially secured a place in the tournament but informed the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) of their decision to pull out due to scheduling concerns.
Following the withdrawal, FC Samartex 1996 has been confirmed as Hearts of Oak’s replacement in the competition.
The change means Samartex will now join the other participating clubs as preparations continue for the 2026 edition of the GHALCA Top-Four tournament.
Hearts of Oak’s decision comes as the club manages its existing football commitments, with the scheduling clash making participation in the tournament difficult.
The development is expected to bring adjustments to the tournament’s fixtures and preparations ahead of its commencement.
