Ghanaian sing-a-thon contender Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum has been featured prominently on a major digital billboard in New York City, marking another significant moment in her international journey.
The feature showcases Asantewaa on a prominent screen in Manhattan and comes as she prepares for another attempt at the longest singing marathon record.
Asantewaa first attracted global attention in 2023 when she attempted a five-day singing marathon in Accra. Although the attempt was unsuccessful on technical grounds, she returned in 2024 with a second attempt in Kumasi.
Reports indicate that she is now planning a third sing-a-thon attempt for July 7, 2027, with preparations expected to take place outside Ghana.
Reacting to the billboard feature, Asantewaa described it as an honour for herself, Ghana, her team and everyone who has contributed to building the Singathon brand.
The latest recognition has generated excitement among her supporters, with many celebrating the Ghanaian entertainer’s growing international visibility.
