The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of its staff members who were tragically killed in the recent attack in Garu, in the Upper East Region.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Authority described the incident as a devastating loss to both the NHIA family and the nation at large.
“The Management and staff of the National Health Insurance Authority are heartbroken by the untimely death of our dedicated officers who lost their lives in the heinous attack at Garu. Their commitment to public service and the well-being of Ghanaians will never be forgotten,” the statement read.
The NHIA extended its condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of the Authority’s full support during this difficult period. It also called for a swift investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“We stand in solidarity with the families of our fallen colleagues and all victims of this senseless act. We urge the security agencies to ensure that justice is served,” it added.
The Authority also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety of its staff across the country while continuing to deliver quality healthcare services to all Ghanaians.
