John Dramani Mahama has called on tenants to report landlords who demand more than six months’ rent advance, describing the practice as exploitative and unacceptable.
The former President stressed that such demands place undue financial pressure on citizens, particularly young people and low-income earners trying to secure accommodation.
He urged relevant authorities to enforce existing rent regulations and ensure that landlords who flout the rules are held accountable.
